For Chef Bashir Hossain, cooking is a harmonious blend of art, science, and love. His culinary creations are born from a deep understanding of ingredients and flavours, expertly combined through traditional techniques to craft dishes that are meant to be savoured.
Born and raised in Bikrampur, Munshiganj, Bashir’s journey began in the vibrant culinary landscape of Bangladesh. In the late nineties, he moved to Italy, where he immersed himself in the rich traditions of Italian cuisine while honing his skills in various renowned restaurants in Venice. This experience ignited his passion for cooking and set him on a path to culinary excellence.
In 2011, Bashir relocated to London, where he had the privilege of working alongside some of the UK’s most acclaimed Indian chefs. This period not only refined his craft but also deepened his appreciation for the intricate flavours and techniques that define Indian cooking.
In 2024, Chef Bashir opened his first restaurant in Sittingbourne, within the picturesque Swale district of Kent. His motivation is to continuously develop innovative dishes that marry traditional flavours and techniques with local, seasonal ingredients. By fusing the best of Indian cooking with contemporary influences, Bashir aims to create a dining experience that delights the palate and honours his culinary heritage.
